    Week 12: Viennese Waltz

As their first dance, Aliona and Jay performed an stunning Viennese Waltz to Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman? by Bryan Adams.

Craig: I really loved the opening sequence, it was simple, it was effective. 8
Darcey: I could feel the romance between you, how lyrical you were. 9
Len: I loved that start, but the natural turn you have to close your feet… you have to. You never did… that got my into a pickle. As much as I loved it, I have to be true to myself. 8
Bruno: It was simply beautiful, you take such care with everything you do… very nice. 9

Craig: I loved your hip action, I absolutely adored the lift… and finally we are seeing some facial expression 9
Darcey: You warmed up the ballroom but you also warmed me up! You were flirting with Aliona from the beginning and kept it to the end. You have natural hip action – it was a fantastic performance.9
Len: There’s no end to your talent, you really got the party started. I’ve been waiting since week three’s Jive to see anything as good and you’ve shown it to me.9
Bruno: You blended with the professionals so well it was indistinguishable 9

    Week 8: Foxtrot

This week Jay and Aliona danced an romantic and passionate Foxtrot to Lay Me Down by Sam Smith.

Craig: I found the whole thing a little bland. As soon as you begin to dance properly… the face goes dead. You’ve got to do something about that. 6
Darcey: This was a beautiful poignant foxtrot. Up until that trip you owned the night. 8
Len: There is purpose with your moves, your technique is outstanding. Think about why you are doing movements. A silly hiccup but otherwise brilliant. 8
Bruno: You are always so endearing. Exquisitely lyrical. It was fantastic …. But there was that little but … 8
